Course Description:
Explore basic principles of marketing and apply them to the sports and entertainment industries. Study marketing, the economy, ethics, risk management and more. Develop business and marketing skills through hands-on projects with a lot of computer and Internet use—a fun and valuable course.
This course will cover basic functions of marketing and how those functions are applied to sports and entertainment. The basic functions of marketing are:
· Product/Service Management
· Distribution
· Selling
· Marketing-Information Management
· Financing
· Pricing
· Promotion
· Ethics
Course Supplies:
- 1 or 2 subject Notebook
- 2 Pocket Folder
- Pens and/or Pencils
- Textbook - to be supplied by the school
- Online accounts - created at school
Students are expected to bring all supplies/materials to class everyday, unless instructed otherwise. It is the students responsibility to ensure that items distributed in class are maintained in an orderly fashion and submitted for review and grading on time. If a students is absent from class, items provided during class will be placed in a designated place or given to the students at the next class that attended.
